INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: On-Track is an Alberta based company whose principals' expertise spans 6 decades. On-Track Railway Services Ltd. is an accomplished designer, manufacturer, supplier and contractor of railway material handling systems and services. Our recognized experience within the railway industry has allowed us to accurately identify, develop, and patent unprecedented equipment for railways and industry affiliates. Our first project was with Canadian National Railways in 1978 when, Ken Masse, developed the first process for wood tie rehabilitation for ties generated from the P8-11 concrete tie program.
Over the years, it became apparent there is a growing need to develop new machinery and equipment to meet the rigorous demands of contract service, and On-Track develops machinery to provide contract services tailored to meet specific needs. We established a reputation for being an entrepreneurial company in the highly specialized "maintenance of way" field. On-Track contracts, invents, develops, and perfects specialized equipment needed for its operations, but most importantly; searches for unique business opportunities in railway services and recovery. As a result, we at On-Track are industry known for demonstrating improved concepts in all areas of railway material handling.
MARKET: Our market includes all major railways, short line railways, industrial plant sites including chemical, processing, transportation, manufacturing, pulp mills, and material producers. Any facility whose operations include in plant switching, marshaling, or movement of rail cars not comprising a total train, but small increments is a potential user.
MEETING THE CHALLENGE HEAD ON : Versatility is always a prime consideration of On-Track's machinery and services, and it reflects our emphasis on promoting equipment for application both today and tomorrow. As we near our sixteenth year in the industry, we move steadily down the same road we mapped when we introduced our first material-handling machine.
"These are exciting times in a changing technical environment that the railroads and industry affiliates are going through. Machines are changing, materials are changing, and both are under constant scrutiny for improvement. For On-Track too, innovation has to be the key word".
Our philosophy is that there is always a better method of performing all tasks, and providing economical, expedient services to our customers is the code by which On-Track operates.
