ON-TRACK can crush your concrete ties into aggregate and shear the rebar for recycling. ON-TRACK uses excavator attachments to process the concrete and rebar. You save money by only mobilizing one machine to your stockpile.

Wood Tie Shredding & Disposal

ON-TRACK is capable of disposing of scrap wood ties in an Environment Canada approved manner. The process starts with our Wood Shredder. ON-TRACK’s Doppstadt Shredder is able to shred ties almost as fast as we can feed it.
A few Spikes and plates left on the ties do not present a problem to our shredder. After the plates and spikes are shredded off, the Doppstadt magnet conveyor will grab the steel off the main belt and toss it aside.
If the quantity of plates left on is significant, we recommend removing the plates for two reasons, you may be able to reuse the plates, and the second reason would be to prolong the life of the shredder teeth. The shredded ties can now be used as Biofuel.
