On-Track Railway Operations Ltd. is an Alberta based company whose principals’ expertise spans six decades.
Since 1978, On-Track has been an industry leader in railway material handling, maintenance-of-way innovation, and contract services. Our recognized experience within the railway industry has allowed us to accurately identify, develop, and patent unprecedented equipment for railways and industry affiliates. As an accomplished designer, manufacturer, supplier, and contractor, we are industry known for demonstrating improved concepts in all areas of railway material handling, Canada-wide.
Duagh Yard is our home base in Sturgeon County, which serves as a premier rail hub in central Alberta. As a registered strategic railcar storage partner with CN Rail, our facility features north and south switches to access track space for 300+ railcars. With our fleet of locomotives and railcar movers, our crew and equipment can service daily to accommodate both short-term and long-term storage needs. We also provide safe and efficient transloading services for both truck-to-railcar or railcar-to-truck.
Our Operating LocationOn-Track is headquartered out of Sturgeon County, Alberta, where we have a full service railyard in Duagh, just north of Edmonton. On-Track’s railway contract operations span Canada wide, with the greatest areas of concentration in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. |

The Market
Our market includes all major railways, short line railways, industrial plant sites including chemical, processing, transportation, manufacturing, pulp mills, and material producers. Any facility whose operations include in plant switching, marshalling, or movement of rail cars not comprising a total train, but small increments is a potential user.
Our railyard services are available to any type of customers who have storage or transloading needs.
